Dear Friends and Partners,

It is with great pride that Keith and I share with you our ‘hot-off-the-press’ 2017 Annual Report. As you look through the pages, you will quickly notice that Beautiful Day has a lot to celebrateyes, we are now five years old as a non-profit and stronger than ever.

With the help of our supporters and buyers, our champions, we are building a unique non-profit social ventureone that has a direct impact on refugees in our program, their families, and local refugee communities. We’re also thrilled to be developing a refugee-made gourmet product into a way for many thousands across the country to start doing something practical about human displacement. Without doubt, these are difficult times for the entire US refugee resettlement system. Undaunted, Beautiful Day is growing into a place that our local refugee trainees and employees depend on as they adjust to a new culture and way of life, heal the emotional wounds of the past and rebuild their lives.

We are also thrilled, to once again announce, that our dedicated Board of Directors has collectively pledged a $10,000 match to the funds raised through this special appeal. This means that if you donate $250, your donation will be multiplied by two to become a larger contribution totaling $500. All funds raised will support our training program goals for 20 participantsrunning until the end of December 2018.

Please consider supporting this important, yet modest, fundraising effort by helping us meet our minimum goal of $10,000 (to be matched by our Board Members as promised). Your charitable donation will assure that Beautiful Day can continue to support refugees in-training with stipends, transportation and social learningall important to their success. If you would like to make an online donation, please go to Support Page on this website and then choose the correct button (one-time or monthly) under Donate .

Thank you for taking this important journey with us and, in doing so, for supporting our new neighbors!

With deep gratitude,

Monika and Keith
